Laura Ellersdorfer is a dramaturg and a core member of the Umculo team. She was born in Munich in 1985 and received her diploma of theatre dramaturgy with the highest possible academic results at the Bavarian Theater Academy under the direction of Klaus Zehelein in 2012.
Alongside numerous productions for the Bavarian Theatre Academy, she has worked as a dramaturg for the Bavarian State Theatre, the Munich Volkstheater, and for the Schauburg/Youth Theatre. In summer of 2010 she worked as assistant dramaturg on the production of Günter Grass’ „The Tin Drum“ (with director Jan Bosse), a co-prodction between the Maxim Gorki Theatre and the Ruhrtriennale. Following work with the Bavarian State Opera as assistant dramaturg for Dimitri Tcherniakov’s production of “Simon Boccanegra”, she was appointed to the dramaturgy department of the Konstanz Theatre, where she will begin work in September 2013.
