Tatjana Dachsel was born in Berlin in 1976 and studied both art at the Ruth Prowse School of Fine Art Cape Town and opera at the University of Cape Town.
Her first engagements as a stage manager and assistant stage director for Cape Town Opera between 2002 and 2008 were followed by further work as an assistant stage director for projects including “Showboat” (Sörmlands Musik o Teater, Schweden) and in 2010 für “Rusalka” (Kammeroper Schloß Rheinsberg). She has been part of the Umculo team since 2012.
